Sometimes, I also updated my cases at Linkedin. 🙂 this topic will focus only on conservative dentistry cases such as restorative dentistry and endodontic or root canal treatment.

restodontic treatment on maxillary right premolar with gingivectomy

a patient came with a persistent pain on his maxillary right first premolar, it had been restored with composite resin but already broken. the cavity has reached into the pulp, radiographic image showed a periapical lesion. the gingival enlargement also exist on the mesial. the WD/ was chronic apical periodontitis with pulp necrosis.

after taking a proper informed consent, i started my dental treatment in two visit. at first visit, i did gingivectomy, rewalling with composite resin, biomechanical instrumentation, obturation, coronal seal, and put temporary filling. and at the second visit on 4 months later, i did the coronal layer of composite resin. next plan will be the restorative treatment on second premolar. note the gingival healing after 4 months control.
