endo resto (restodontic) treatment on mandibular molar with four canals

a patient came with unfinished endodontic treatment on mandibular left first molar. the diagnosis was chronic apical periodontitis with pulp necrosis. after taking a proper informed consent, i started my dental treatment.

according to the research by Chandra et al in screening the prevalence of radix entomolaris in mandibular first molar showed that The prevalence of 3-rooted mandibular first molars was 18.6% of the patients examined and 13.3% of the teeth examined. and this case is one of them.

when you’ve been following my recent case. all i did were doing root canal treatment followed with composite resin restoration as restoration. in my case, the respected tooth had lots of remaining tooth structure to withstand occlusal force while restored with composite resin.
