my endo-resto story: mandibular molar with radix entomolaris on mandibular molar

a patient came with unfinished endodontic treatment for more than a year. the mandibular molar had fractured its lingual wall, and xray image showed a radiolucency at periapex. after taking a proper informed consent, i started my dental treatment as seen on the video below.

all i did was access preparation, crown lengthening, restoring the lingual wall to create a 4-walled cavity access, shaping, cleaning, and obturating the canals. coronal seal with low shrinkage stress flowable composite resin, followed with coronal restoration in 2 weeks later.

hope this dental treatment will be long last 🙂

endo resto treatment on mandibular right second premolar with previous amalgam filling

a patient came with a persistent pain on lower region. the tooth was non vital, pain on percussion, and had old-yet-leaked amalgam filling. after taking a proper informed consent, i started my dental treatment as seen below

in order to create a 4-walled cavity access, i need to build up the missing distal wall with composite resin prior to endodontic treatment. shaping was done with i3Gold (denjoy) flooded with sodium hypochlorite 5,24%. the agitation of irrigant was done with passive ultrasonic irrigation (irrisafe – satelec).

following obturation, i do the coronal seal with low shrinkage stress flowable composite resin, and did my final restoration with composite resin. final xray examination showed a hermetic filling from apical to coronal.
