Sometimes, I also updated my cases at Line or Linkedin. 🙂 this topic will focus only on conservative dentistry cases such as restorative dentistry and endodontic or root canal treatment.
This patient came with big cavity on lower right second premolar. This tooth had severe pain 2 years ago which made the patient came to a dentist, and received a temporary filling after drilling by the operator. The patient said that the tooth was being devitalized.
Day by day nothing happen until the patient realized the need for dental treatment due to big cavity (after temporary displacement), food retention, and pain (discomfort) while chewing.
After taking proper informed consent, i did endodontic treatment. Cleaning and shaping was done with ProtaperNext (Dentsply) and Natrium Hypochlorite 5,24% simultaneously. After obturation with vertical condentation, the orifice was coronally sealed with low_shrinkage_stress flowable composite resin (filtek_bulkfill flow from 3M). Xray evaluation with vistaray 7.1 (Durr) at 60kV, 3mA, 0,03 seconds showed filled lateral canal, and intact margin between composite, gutta percha, and dentine.
