This patient came to me with an old-overhanging-improper amalgam filling yet causing food impaction and secondary caries. The xray examination showed a leaked at the margin, and voids at the body of restoration/filling material.. and this filling had been there for almost 9 years..

The replacement begin with removal of old amalgam filling and secondary caries, the cavity was almost reaching the pulp, the tooth still vital..
I filled the cavity with compositeresin (Estelite from Tokuyama) shade A3 on marginal and OA3 at the occlusal. Polished the cavity with# soflex (from 3M ESPE) and Enhance from Dentsply.
The xray image taken with xray Sensor from durrdental (60kV, 3mA, 0,03s).
