Restoration of Cervical Lesion with Composite Resin

Abfraction, abrasion, also any other non-carious cervical lesion can lead to dentin hypersensitivity that experienced by our patient. Long term plaque accumuluation also can triggered caries in this previously cavitated area.

My patient, let’s call her Susan, 60 y.o, had sensitive sensation while drinking cold beverages. She had supragingiva-cervical lesion on both upper right second premolar and canine. After taking proper informed consent, i started my dental treatment.

First, i placed rubber dam (nic tone rubber dam sheet, and sanctuary rubber dam clamp). To retract the gingiva on both teeth, i used anterior clamp. Then i placed composite resin (filtek z350 XT – 3M)). Polished it with soflex (3M), and enhance (dentsply). Followed with occlusal adjustment on both teeth. Then, refered it to prosthodontist to rehab the edentulous area.
