Stamp Technique on Class I cavity

For me, it’s very rare to use stamp technique, so this one was my case in class I cavity. The caries can be seen limeted on the occlusal of lower right second molar, but it was rather deep after caries removal.
The patient itself complaining about hypersensitive to cold beverages, and tooth still vital.

After taking proper informed consent, i started my dental treatment. I put rubberdam (blossom rubberdam sheet and hu friedy rubberdam clamp), put flowable composite on the coronal layer then co-cured it with micro brush. It will reveal the coronal anatomy.

Tooth preparation was done following the caries progression. I used sabble_seek (ultradent), a caries indicator, as my preparation guide.
First layer of composite placed was low shrinkage stress flowable composite (filtek bulkfill flowable – 3M). Then, i placed packable composite (filtek Z350), put teflon tape on the uncured composite, push with the co-cured microbrush, and light cure after adjusting the occlusal layer.
Simple technique, minimal finishing and polishing, predictable result, but need a lot of flowable composite to create the occlusal stamp.
