Sometimes, I also updated my cases at Line or Linkedin. 🙂 this topic will focus only on conservative dentistry cases such as restorative dentistry and endodontic or root canal treatment.

A referral from my friend, an orthodontist, who found this case. A patient came with persistent pain on her upper right second premolar who was previously treated by another operator. the composite filling was not properly placed, maybe it was just for temporary filling.. maybe..
After taking a proper informed consent, i started my dental treatment devided into two phase:

Phase One (pre endodontic treatment):
1. Electrosurgery to remove the inflamed gingiva toward the tooth structure until i get clean gingival wall.
2. Multiple tooth isolation: Hu_Friedy rubberdam clamp and Blossom rubberdam sheet.
3. Matrix placement prior to rebuild up the mesial wall: TOR springclip matrix.
4. Composite resin: CeramXSphereTec (Dentsply), polished with Soflex (3M) and Enhance (Dentsply).

Phase two (Endodontic Treatment):
1. Change to single tooth isolation after proper adjusting.
2. Shaping with Mtwo files (VDW) with Clockwise Reciprocal motion 350 RPM and Clockwise rotary motion 350RPM with Imate2C endomotor (Denjoy)
3. Cleaning with NaOCl 5,24% (Generic), EDTA 18% sol (Ultradent). Activate with Finishing files (engineered endo).
4. Obturation with guttapercha endorez system (ultradent).
5. Coronal seal with Low shrinkage stress flowable composite resin: filtek bulkfill flowable (3M)
6. Xray evaluation with VistaRay 7.1 (Durr) showed a properly filled root canals, and intact margin at coronal sealing from resin composite -dentin – guttapercha.
